Yay, a brief blog note about Frühlingsfest. Yesterday for a group excursion, everyone from SIP went to Stuttgart. First we went to the stadt Geschichte museum, which had history of Stuttgart and the wars. It was neat to see old stuff, and the tour guide spoke very good English and was very informative, but I am not interested in history. I'm afraid my mind just does not have the capability to memorize dates in time, and perspectives of various political positions and analyze them and comment on how they're so important and whatnot. Give me DNA anyday. I would be thrilled to explain how it replicates and why it's so important to life. Well, then we went to this really good Chinese buffet with all you can eat food, and then we went to the Mercedes Benz museum and I took a lot of pictures of cars. Then we went to the Frühlings fest which is kind of like Oktoberfest but it's in the spring. Some of the people went on rides but it was raining and I wanted to save my money for Beer.
Then we went to the Beer tent. It was amazing, there was live musik, good food and a hell of a lot of bier! They only sold beer in 1 L increments, but it was really really good. I got a Hefeweizen which is more of a yeasty light beer. MMmmm. By the end of the night, I had probably had 2,5 Liters and I was singing and Dancing with everyone else on the table, it was so much fun. Here is a link to one of the German songs that they kept playing throughout the night, it was fun to dance to! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-_xXfjB3AM It's not the best example but you'll get the idea. Good night!
